During their life-time the Winter Family played a significant and important role in the development of many local churches and Conference ministries.

During their lifetime they also made provision for this ministry to continue after their death by the establishment of the Peter and Charlotte Winter Trust and the Ivy Winter Trust.

These Trusts were established during their life and on their death received a large portion of their Estates.

Helen Veverka was a refugee from Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia, converted in 1958. She established the Helena and Peter Veverka Trust in memory of her only son, Peter, who died in 1981 aged 27 on similar terms.

The purpose of the Trusts are set out in the Trust Deeds as follows:-

"(a). To promulgate and spread the teachings of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to instruct children and adults in such teachings by all such means as they shall think fit through any Church of Christ associated or affiliated with the Constitution of the Conference of Churches of Christ in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory (here­inafter called Conference).

(b). To advance moneys by way of loan or gift to any such Church of Christ or to any Conference Auxiliary Conference Department or committee of Conference for the purpose of promulgating and spreading the teachings of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in any way the Trustees may think fit including the establishment of new Churches of Christ Bible Schools or Missionary activities or for the advancement of such further Christian work through any such Church of Christ as may be decided upon from time to time by the Trustees".

The three Trusts are now looked after by the Property Trust.

You may be able to give additional funds to the Trusts which now total $430,000.
