Youth Vision NSW is the youth ministry arm of the Churches of Christ in NSW

Youth vision NSW exists to develop, resource and empower the network of youth and young adult ministries within Churches of Christ in NSW.

VISION:

-          We see a network of youth ministries that are healthy mission shaped communities of fresh hope

-          We see a generation of leaders empowered to passionately communicate Jesus to a new generation of young people and raise genuine disciples

-          We see youth ministries that effectively raise up young people to live out their call to follow Jesus in a life of faith that transforms their world.

HOW DO WE HOPE TO DO THIS?

TRAINING:

Youth Vision hosts a number of key training events designed to build spiritual leadership capacity and values into younger generations of leaders. We realise that effective ministry rises and falls on the health and capacity of the leadership& so we desire to raise up leaders who are passionate about Christ's call on their life and are equipped and empowered to effectively live out that call.

Youth Vision hosts a key training event each term and partners with experts in the field of youth ministry, as well as ACOM and the Fresh Hope Training Institute, in order to make available the best training for youth leaders and their teams.

MINISTRY CONSULTING:

Youth Vision desires to see healthy youth ministries developed throughout the Churches of Christ in NSW. An integral part of this is seeing youth ministries that strategically engage with their culture, community and context.

Youth Vision have key leaders within the network who are available to meet with and offer consulting or training to youth leaders and leadership teams across the state who desire to see a greater impact amongst the young people of their community.

NETWORK:

None of us are called to build the kingdom of God in isolation. We are the body of Christ to express and communicate His Gospel to a lost world. In Youth Vision we are aware that isolation is a sure sign of a road to burnout in ministry. Journeying together is vital for health, for effectiveness and for longevity.  (1 Cor 12:21ff)

The network of Youth Vision seeks to develop interdependent relationships across NSW that see youth leaders in relationships bringing life, support and encouragement to one another.

The Fresh Hope Youth Vision website (launch 2010) serves as a centre for resourcing and connecting youth ministries to one another. The website is regularly updated with the latest information regarding the happenings of Youth Vision NSW. The website is a source of free resources designed to enable youth leaders to be more effective in their roles. Resources available are downloadable and cover leadership training, discipleship tools, youth ministry program aids, small group material, schools ministry resources plus much more.
