The past few years has seen the expansion of our ANEW Day Conference Program to the point where in 2009 we had "one conference" in four locations around NSW. These conferences have brought 100's of women from many of our churches together to share in what God is doing collectively in our movement in and through our local churches. The success of these conferences has meant that in order to continue the quality and size of these gatherings we have decided to now hold them every two years. This means that the next ANEW Conferences will take place throughout NSW in 2011.

The benefit of this new Conference schedule is that not only will our conferences continue to bring together the women of our movement but that it will also release our team to spend more time on other pressing areas of need such as;

·         Developing a new website: so that women everywhere have the same access to our resources and each other

·         Regular communication that is more reliable and regular

·         Spiritual retreat weekends in conjunction with other Conference Ministry Areas

·         Speaker Database: so that our churches know who is available to come and minister with them

·         Women in Ministry Networks & Pastors Wives Network: these vital support networks need to be established

·         Visits to churches throughout NSW that are not ANEW Day venues that have missed out because we have been committed to ANEW Day Conferences.

·         Workshops and other resources being developed

·         Consultancy opportunities with churches who want to enter a new season of ministry to and for women.

The NSW Women's Ministry Team exists to provide resources, training and encouragement to women in their local churches so they can effectively minister to women in their community.

We do this through a variety of methods and are always available to serve and assist individual Women's Ministries in whatever way we can.

The Women's Ministry Team is lead by Edwina Blair. Her team consists of 4 women with a wide range of experience in women's ministry. Each team member represents a different church and therefore brings a wide breadth of experience and perspective on reaching the women in our churches and communities.

The NSW Ministry Team has long associated itself with the sunflower because of the similarities between it and our lives in Christ.

• Each individual sunflower has a firm thick stem, just as we must have a firm foundation in God.
• Alone, one flower may be battered by the wind. When they stand together in a field, each supports and protects the other. Unity is strength.
• It is taller than most flowers. In God we stand tall.
• They keep facing the sun. When we are focused on the Son, we are not looking at each other's faults. Sunflowers close up when cloud or darkness separates them from the sun.
• Each petal plays a part. Each supports the petal next to it, and is supported by the petal on the other side of it. If one petal drops it has a domino effect - it leaves gaps and others fall too.
• Sunflower seeds provide nourishment and remind us that the flower's main purpose is to reproduce.

• Prayer Support 
• A network of Women's Ministries throughout  NSW.
• Annual ANEW Day Conference.
• Resources such as speakers, courses, seminars and websites to assist in teaching women to reach others for Christ.
