Our Ministry Partners
Focus on the Family Australia
In June 2006, Churches of Christ in NSW entered into a ministry
partnership with Focus on the Family Australia. This exciting new
development is reflective of our core value of 'health' impacting the
lives of families of leaders and members of our churches. This new
partnership is hopefully the first of many, which we believe will serve
into the life and ministry of the local church as it seeks to impact
its community.
The concept behind a ministry partnership is a belief that the partnering organisation offers skills, resources and benefits beyond that which the conference on its own can provide.
We believe that Focus on the Family Australia offers exceptional resources to enhance the wellbeing and health of marriages and families across our nation, and to this end, are well placed to distribute those resources in times where these institutions are under threat.
By virtue of our partnership, local churches will receive a discount of 15% off resources if they sign up for the Church Family Representation Program. Please log onto the FOFA website for further information:

As we seek to develop healthy missional churches, healthy families and marriages are essential.

Focus on the Family Facilitator Training
Focus on the Family is running facilitator training for its "No Apologies" and "How to Drug Proof your Kids" programs, throughout Australia in the coming year.
No Apologies is a character- based curriculum that specifically promotes abstinence and helps adolescents identify the harmful effects associated with premarital sexual activity. It brings a fresh message of hope to a generation who are seeing an increasing rate of teen pregnancy, abortion, single parent households and divorce.
How to Drug Proof your Kids is an education, prevention, and intervention program developed by Focus on the Family Australia, motivated by the increasing drug problem among young people and the frustrated attempts by parents to steer their children away from the harmful use of drugs.
If you are interested in being trained to run these courses in your community or church, please download the registration forms at www.families.org.au or contact Emma Marshall from Focus on the Family at 1300 300 361l

Urban Neighbours of Hope (UNOH)
UNOH was founded in 1993, out of a desire to be part of God's answer to the poor in the Asia-Pacific region. UNOH focuses on creating missional communities that live and serve with the poor. This includes open homes, project teams and planting churches amongst the poor.
In May 2001, UNOH was ordained as a missional order among the poor by Churches of Christ. Churches of Christ believe that it is a part of our mandate as Christians to meet the needs of others and show practical examples of Jesus' love.
