Horn of Africa Appeal

Tens of thousands of refugees have fled drought-stricken Somalia in recent weeks. Some have walked up to 1000km to escape conflict and drought. This drought is the worst to hit the horn of Africa in six decades, and has driven scores of malnourished and desperate people to Dadaab in north-eastern Kenya, the world's largest refugee camp. There is an urgent need for humanitarian assistance. The UN estimates that as many as 12 million people (half Australia's population) are affected. Response to COCOA's appeal have doubled over the last few weeks. Fantastic and needed!
